Happy Birthday to Us

Yes our #HB2US 2nd birthday event was a great success with almost fifty people present to enjoy a great show with some last minute line up changes and some impromptu audience participation too. A big thanks to everyone who came to support our event and these great performers.  The Beastie Girls and Maz the Jazz opened the show. Everyone gave it there all and did themselves proud. A great solo debut from Lady President and Uncommon Earth’s Anna Shorten, a fabulous  new song penned by super teen songstress  Jessie Godwin, the appearance of a Horse with No Name, Sam Kurt’s Cat Power cover, the return of This Is Cleo and Sulk’s  new song Poster Girl going down a treat, were our personal highlights. Not to mention Happy Birthday being sung to Angie!

Lady President

#SHEFEST returns,  as part of The Stowfestival,  on 18 September. We’ve decided to stay at  the Grove Cafe for this showcase of Walthamstow’s finest female musicians, after such a lovely event last Friday.

We can also confirm we have agreed to host an afternoon of She17ness at Ye Olde Rose & Crown main bar as part of the We Shall Overcome national music against austerity measures weekend and we have two acts confirmed for this already.  We’re calling this one  She Shall Overcome.
